Sarah’s Lifetime Commitment To Care
After 25 years working in the field of health policy, Sarah founded Dash Collaborations LLC based on the premise that achieving better health and prosperity as a nation will depend on courageous leadership, creative visioning, and collaborative problem-solving.
For nearly a decade, Sarah served as president and CEO of the Alliance for Health Policy, fostering knowledge, understanding, and connection among bipartisan health policy leaders and diverse stakeholders.
She previously served as a senior aide in the United States Senate and House of Representatives, and was a policy consultant on numerous gubernatorial and federal campaigns. As a faculty member at the Georgetown Center on Health Insurance Reforms, Sarah researched the private health insurance market during the rollout of the Affordable Care Act.
Known for her highly creative, empathetic, and engaging leadership style, Sarah has spearheaded the application of next-generation convening tools to foster more effective collaboration, moderated hundreds of in-depth interviews and panels with prominent health policy leaders, and actively championed the inclusion of community perspectives in health policy dialogues.

Sarah is an active board member of the Public Health Institute, where she serves on the executive committee, chairs the nominating and governance committee, and previously chaired the policy and strategy committees.
Passionate about supporting current and aspiring health policy leaders, Sarah has coached dozens of individuals finding their path in health policy and serves on the advisory board for the Society for Health Policy Young Professionals.
Sarah hold a master’s degree in public health from the Yale School of Public Health, a bachelor’s degree in humanities and science from MIT, and an executive certificate in nonprofit management from Georgetown University.
She has completed the Playing Big Facilitators coaching course with women’s leadership and business coach Tara Mohr, as well as the Public Narrative: Leadership, Storytelling, and Action course through the Harvard Kennedy School with Marshall Ganz.
Most recently, Sarah completed a certification in Applied Narrative Intelligence and studies in Experiential Narrative Practice from the Istoria Institute, deepening her ability to facilitate transformative gatherings and bring compelling narratives to life.
